A Quick Review Of Green ZoneMatt Damon and Paul Greengrass join forces again for new Iraq War based thriller Green Zone. The film is set in the Iraq war, although it’s based far more heavily on the early part of the US invasion into Iraq, capturing the chaotic and unpredictable nature of the conflict extremely well. As Miller and his team continue to search the Iraqi desert they eventually come across a cover-up that threatens their job security, and potentially their lives. I won’t ruin the film by going into too much detail here, suffice to say it’s genuinely gripping and well thought out. As you would perhaps expect from the combination of Damon and Greengrass, the pace of the film is constantly high and action packed, although the shots can be a little choppy at times. It’s another extremely good performance from Damon; he plays the Warrant Officer Roy Miller extremely well and is very believable as a military character. It’s refreshing to see a US war film that is willing to confront such potentially explosive content matter, particularly without glorifying American involvement (similar to Jarhead in this respect). Green Zone is also excellent in terms of keeping true to the real life setting; the banter, terminology and kit are spot on throughout. Have a look at the Oakley Sunglasses sported by Damon’s character during the film; these are M-frame sunglasses and are a popular choice throughout the military due to their high levels of impact resitance and eye protection. Maybe it’s just me but I like to see this level of realism in a film that is covering a current conflict in a realistic and serious manner. Overall I really enjoyed Green Zone, it’s a quick moving, taught thriller and will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout recommended. |

2012 a Hit at the Box OfficeThe end of the world as we know itThe world is going to end — again. Speculation of the end of the word sends people buying water and food storage just like then did in 1999. I’m not really sure exactly how rumors that the world was going to end or that we could expect the Second Coming of Christ began, but they were everywhere and even easier to find than money lenders. People feared all computers would quit working Jan 1, 2000. Since that end of the world is done, it’s time for the next end of the world, 2012.I don’t believe the world will end in 2012 at the end of the Mayan Calendar but to see the number of TV specials on about it right now, apparently some do. ‘2012? pulls in the big bucksThe film “2012,” which stars John Cusack and details the upcoming apocalypse, beat out all of the other films in theaters in terms of ticket sales over the weekend. Perhaps it’s because it was the only new wide release, as “Pirate Radio” only was released in a few hundred theaters across the country. 2012 #1 at the Box Office. A Christmas Carol pushed out. 1 place to # 2. “The Men Who Stare at Goats” came in third for ticket sales with .1 million. Precious came in. 4 spot with .ticket sales of 1 million. With “Precious” shown in fewer than 200 theaters right now, this is an amazing statistic. 2012, A Christmas Carol and Michael Jackson’s This is It are all in the top 5.1 million. More about ‘2012?The Mayan Long Count calendar comes to an end on Dec. 21, 2012. The year is actually 5125. Some theories state that this date marks a positive spiritual experience or awakening for humankind. Some say it ushers in the apocalypse. Of course, the film “2012? focuses on the idea that disaster will strike. The film is said to be based on interpretations of the Mayan calendar. 2 hours of action-packed adventure is what you will get with 2012, not a religious lesson on the Mayan people. Box office top 10Amazingly, despite horrible reviews, both “Fourth Kind” and “Couples Retreat” did well at the box office, coming in sixth and seventh place, respectively. Couples Retreat is surprisingly still pulling in viewers. After 5 weeks on the Box Office charts. “Paranormal Activity” came in no. 8. Costing only ,000 to make, Paranormal Activity made over million this weekend. Making over 0 million in just this past few days. “Law Abiding Citizen” rounds out the top 10 making .9 million, and “The Box” pulled in .2 million. |

A Time for Christmas MoviesChristmas time is only around the corner, it seems as though the year has literally flown by, everyone has begun stocking their Christmas products and the weather as expected has turned very chilly. In my opinion one of the best things about Christmas is the fact that you get to watch some nice seasonal and warming films, that are absolutely magical. So lets take a look at some of the steady Christmas day films that are constantly shown.
Home Alone Who can forget the home alone films, probably one of the funniest films ever created. Macaulay Culkin stuck at home on his own, while thieves try to break in, he does everything in his power to stock them.
Die Hard Although not a regular Christmas themed film, die hard was a film for the people that had plenty of all the Christmas malarkey and went direct into the action scenes. A film that is still fully enjoyed to this day.
A Christmas Carol A Christmas carol was one of those film that just captivated the whole world, the film that was made over 5 decades ago, still to this current day captivates the world. A 2009 remake of the classic movie is set to bring all of the magic back to life.
The Santa Clause Where would Christmas be without Santa, The Santa Clause was once again a cracking film which still to this current day gets watched every single year. A must see movie at least once a year.
There are so many more Christmas movies being released every year, some are classics and some are not, but which one do you enjoy wrapping up in a blanket and watching in the cold winter months?

Scary Christmas TreatsChristmas is a time of magic, giving an receiving and believing in Santa. There are some cracking loving and warming Christmas movies around but Christmas day also seems to be the time for Horror. Some of the best Horror movies are always released around the Christmas period, so lets cast our minds back to see some of the best Christmas horror movies.
Gremlins Who can forget the gremlins, and who can forget when water was dropped on the gremlins which made them multiple and then wreak havoc everywhere. A classic, but one that was not too scary.
Black Christmas Both the original and redo were utterly splendid films, when you receive an obscene phone call around the Christmas period, you definitely know that something is wrong. Black Christmas has to be one of the better films ever created.
To all a Good Night Although over 3 decades old now, this film still has to be one of the most terrifying, students start a big party until they begin getting killed off one by one. But who is the culprit? Could the killings have anything to do with the girl who was killed in an initiation stunt at the school a few years earlier?
Childs Play Who can forget the chucky films, they used to scare me out of my wit. Merely because the dolly used to hide and kill and then hide and kill. It was a classic movie, but once again got relatively over used. What I mean by this is that they made so many different sequels that it ended up getting boring and you knew what was going to happen and the storyline just became the same old after just five minutes of viewing.

How to Use The Search Engines to Find movies contentThis article was produced as a result of a test that helped me to discover that whilst the internet is second nature to most people there are still millions of people who are interested in movies and not well versed with using the internet as a research tool. It is now very easy to find any kind if specific information about about movies instantly. Just a few years back you needed to take the whole morning at the library skimming through hundreds of books. In this day and age 5 minutes is too long to find the right information. You just do a quick search in a search engine and just like that you have a huge categorized and highly relevant list to choose from about movies or niches topics of the same subject. With billions of pages available for you to check out how best can you find this information online? The answer is - through search engines. Take some time to read through these few but useful operators that you can use. It is not my intention to waste your time with too much information especially because this is simply a helpful guide to help you find the exact information you are looking for. To some this may be just a refresher “course” but I still do encourage you to read on. These tips can work in most search engines but I base most of them on Google. Use of commas in your search query can help you narrow you search to the pages with the exact information you want. For instance to find a college course about movies, simply enter “movie courses”, If for example you want careers just enter “movie careers”. The retuned pages will be those that have the exact wording you entered in the search. You can also improve your search by using the “+” operator. For example, typing in a word like “documentary about movies”+ “movie books” will result in pages that have those keywords appearing in the same page but not necessarily close to each other. You can enter the word “site:” at the start of your quiery text then follow with the specific domain name and then the keyword(s).This will produce results from only that site you specify. Armed with this information there is no reason to spend hours searching for that information no matter how rare it is, could be you interest - movies or information you may need in the near future like how to do a reverse search on a cell phone number. This site offers great content that should help you a great deal. So do take some time to read more of the articles posted here. |

Kevin James takes the job of a single father in this principally physical comedyComing off the culmination of television’s popular sitcom The King of Queens and 2007’s I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, funnyman Kevin James takes the role of a single father in this largely physical comedy, Paul Blart Blu-ray which the actor also co-wrote. Paul Blart ( James ) is a tough employee, but has never landed his dream job of being New Jersey state trooper because of his excess weight. Striving to support his mummy and his child, Blart takes the marginally less glamorous post as the security guard at his local shopping mall. He never protests, approaching the job with electrifying diligence and pride, but doesn’t get much respect for it. It’s only when a group of misfits in Santa’s Helper disguises take hold of the mall and several hostages that Blart’s would-be cop smarts turn out to be handy and he is getting an opportunity to shine. With a dangerous situation on hand, Blart may eventually be able to show everybody ( and his romantic interest, who just happens to be one of the hostages ) what he’s made of. Though the villains have several advantages over him, Blart has a Segway scooter and a big heart on his side. While many of its jokes come at the cost of James’s extra pounds, like other blu ray movies ultimately makes its star out to be a hero. With his everyman appeal, James is well-suited to play Blart, showing that even average Joes can make a contribution with the right perspective. Paul Blart : Mall Cop takes the prosaic out of the shopping mall, infusing a familiar setting with energy, guffaws, and high-stakes drama. Paul Blart Blu-ray is like the many variations on tuna surprise that show up at potlucks: generic but with a little something added to distinguish it. The final product won’t win any Oscars, but the sides of this slapstick action film retain James’s blitzkrieg sense of humor, making for a light comic journey I am positive children will flip for. Co-produced by Adam Sandler, Mall Cop has an innate sweetness that’s reminiscent of Sandler’s 1998 romantic comedy The Marriage Frontman , though the giggles don’t quite reach those levels. Kevin James is hard not to like in Paul Blart Blu-ray. He is a big, goofy, personable doofus better suited for a half-an-hour TV show like The King of Queens than making an attempt to carry a 90-minute film. James takes a Segway, a cheesy mustache and the comic idea of Die Hard in a mall and bumbles his way to a lightweight but often funny film for the whole family. |

The third film in the Subculture sagaThe 3rd film in the Subculture story goes back masses of years to explain the beginning of the feud between the vampire Death Dealers and the werewolf Lycans. Taking over directing obligations from Len Wiseman in Rise of the Lycans blu-ray, is greenhorn Patrick Tatoupolos, renowned for his creature-designing requirements in Godzilla (1998), I Am Legend (2007), and the first two films in this series. Less an action-horror film than an old school “sword-and-sandal” film with monsters, Rise of the Lycans blu-ray ultimately gets to the root of why those vampires and werewolves actually can’t stand each other. Ruled by Viktor ( Bill Nighy, Valkyrie ), the classy, vampiric Death Dealers keep the wolflike Lycans as slaves. When a captive Lycan woman births a human boy, Viktor resists the need to kill it, instead naming him Lucian and keeping him as a pet. Lucian ( Michael Sheen, Frost/Nixon) grows up to be a blacksmith with the facility to change between human and wolf and starts a surreptitious love with Viktor’s child, Sonja ( Rhona Mitra, Doomsday ). Viktor learns of this banned love and takes extreme steps to make sure that Sonja will never be able to see Lucian again. Lucian, in retaliation, leads a Rise of the Lycans blu-ray slave revolt, ensuing in an all-out assault on Viktor’s kingdom. Though spectators who have skipped the first two installments of the story may feel a little left out when it comes to the mythology of the series, Rise of the Lycans blue ray dvd hits the ground running and doesn’t allow much time for queries. While Sheen has been lauded for his work in more historically dramatic films, here he gives his all to each snarl and battle cry. Mitra is an appealing presence as Sonja, and Nighy is visibly relishing the opportunity to glower in his blue contacts and gnaw the moonlight-bathed scenery. If you’ve had enough Oscar-nominated oatmeal, and you’re in the mood for a massive bowl of sweet cereal with no nutritive content, Underworld: Rise of the Lycans blu-ray is prepared for you to sink your fake fangs into it. While Alfred Hitchcock and more not long ago M. Night Shyamalan have wobbled between whether or not to pen roles for themselves into their own scripts, there’s no tottering for Underworld character writer Kevin Grevioux. |
